The movie is about the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in war. A soldier name Tam want to build a bridge to transport ammo, weapon and food to the battle. But the enemy found out and they bomb it. Tam later comes up with the idea using elephant to build a bridge. 30 years later, Tam's son return to where his father used to build the elephant and finish what he started.
